The CMS College is the first college in Kottayam, Kerala, India. It was started by the Church Missionary Society, England, in 1817 when no institution existed in the then-Travancore state to teach English. The Rev. Benjamin Bailey was the first principal of The College, COTTYM, as it was then called and spelt. The government welcomed the College as "a place of general education whence any demands of the state for officers to fill all departments of public service would be met".

I had a great OH.. while joining the CMS college… and was the sweatiest time in my life.. a great college.. great people.. great faculty… and indeed the finest friends I ever had…LOVE IT

Completed the course in the year 2002 and joined the leading private hospital in PUNE (POONA) the Jehangir Hospital – a 300 bedded multidisciplinary, super speciality as Head of the Medical Records Department in the month of May 2002.

Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai

The Tata Memorial Hospital is situated in Parel, Mumbai in India. It is a specialist cancer treatment and research centre, closely associated with the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC).

This hospital is also one of the few in India to have a P.E.T. scanner. The Tata Memorial Centre is the national comprehensive cancer centre for the prevention, treatment, education and research in Cancer and is recognized as one of the leading cancer centres in this part of the world.

The Tata Memorial Hospital was initially commissioned by the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust on 28 February 1941 as a center with enduring value and a mission for concern for the Indian people.

In 1952 the Indian Cancer Research Centre was established as a pioneer research institute for basic research—later called the Cancer Research Institute (CRI). In 1957 the Ministry of Health took over the Tata Memorial Hospital. The transfer of the administrative control of the Tata Memorial Centre (Tata Memorial Hospital & Cancer Research Institute) to the Department of Atomic Energy in 1962 was the next major milestone. The Tata Memorial Hospital and Cancer Research Institute merged as the two arms of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) in 1966 as a classic example of private philanthropy augmented by Government support with a mandate for Service, Education & Research in Cancer.

To support my family during an extreme crisis situation, returned home and later joined the Alchemist Hospitals Limited @ Panchkula district in Haryana as Head of Medical Records Department.

Alchemist Hospitals Limited

The Alchemist stands not just for care, it attained a more humane form with the setting up of the Alchemist Multi-Specialty hospital, offering the best in health care. We are working here with a single-minded focus of making lives better.

I can’t forget the great help & support extended to me by Dr. Vishal Goyal the then AVP of Alchemist Hospitals Limited (AHL) during my initial days at Alchemist. He was indeed a great team player @ Tata Memorial Centre (ACTREC) which we a all have appreciated during my tenure at ACTREC. It will be reprehensible, if I forget the support and care extended to me by Dr. Ashish Banerji, the ex COO of Alchemist Hospitals Limited, during his very short but remarkable tenure @ Alchemist.

He is one of the finest souls I have ever met in my life, the motivation and inspiration he extended not only to me but also to the entire AHL family was unparalleled.

At Alchemist I have received with the GOOD PERFORMANCE AWARD TWICE during November 2010, and again on May 2013 for the contributions of the years 2009-10 and 2012-13 respectively.

The JPMC is a JCI Accredited Hospital, wherein I’m actively involved in setting and maintaining the standards as per Chapter MOI and extending the statistical support on chapter QPS & PCI.

Designed and developed all the databases required for a state-of-the-art Medical records department including, but not limited to Medical Records Tracking, ICD Coding & Classification, Chart Completion, Medical records scanning, indexing & archiving and also a module which facilitates systematic data collection, abstraction, and analysis of various JCI Library of Measures (I-PC-01, I-PC-02, I-PC-05, I-NSC-4, I-NSC-5) which requires very high level of programming and accuracy.

Received Certificate of Appreciation from Jerudong Park Medical Centre for the contributions to JCI-QPS as a Core Team Member.

Received “Certificate of Appreciation” for successfully conceiving and conducting the MRD’s Quality Improvement Project for JCI as Project Manager (MRD QI Project).

Yes, We are re-accredited by JCI ...

I am fortunate to be part of JPMC during the 1st Triennial Survey of our Hospital by Joint Commission International (JCI) based on 5th edition of standards.

It was indeed a wonderful experience to be part of a highly motivated and dedicated staff working hand-in-hand to reach the ultimate goal of achieving the “Gold Seal”.

I was the Co-leader of chapter Assessment of Patients (AOP) and a Core Team Member of Management of Information (MOI) and Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (QPS)

Overjoyed while receiving the Letter of Appreciation  from our Executive Director & Medical Director, Dato Dr. Isham Jaafar for the contributions towards the JCI re-accreditation.
