Life and Career

Born to Prof. Joseph Thomas & Gracy Joseph as second of their 3 sons at Kanakkari Village of Kottayam District Kerala State in South India on 21st of April 1979. My schooling has stretched to 3 premier schools, beginning with Aphonsa School, Ratnagri to St Gregorios School, Mannarrkunnu to the Emmanuals High School, Kothenalloor. Competed Pre-degree and Graduation (B.Sc Zoology) form one of the oldest Colleges in India – CMS College, Kottayam.

The CMS College is the first college in Kottayam, Kerala, India. It was started by the Church Missionary Society, England, in 1817 when no institution existed in the then-Travancore state to teach English. The Rev. Benjamin Bailey was the first principal of The College, COTTYM, as it was then called and spelt. The government welcomed the College as "a place of general education whence any demands of the state for officers to fill all departments of public service would be met".

I had a great OH.. while joining the CMS college… and was the sweatiest time in my life.. a great college.. great people.. great faculty… and indeed the finest friends I ever had…LOVE IT (Visit the College official web site @ http://202.164.149.14/cms/ )

After Graduation, joined the famous king Nandiwarman College of Science & Technology, Tellar in Tamil Nadu for M.Sc Microbiology. To my fortune and/or misfortune, I had to discontinue the course and joined School of Medical Education under Mahatma Gandhi University for Master of Science in Medical Documentation. Completed the course in the year 2002 and joined the leading private hospital in PUNE (POONA) the Jehangir Hospital – a 300 bedded multidisciplinary, super speciality as Head of the Medical Records Department in the month of May 2002.

Saad Specialist Hospital

The lucrative offer of an overseas job compelled me to accept the offer of the Post of Medical Coder at Saad Specialist Hospital, Al-Khobar, KSA. It is owned and operated by the Saad Group. The Hospital was founded as Saad Specialist Clinic on 1997, although their first patient was only admitted in 2001. It has a 600 bed capacity.

To support my family during an extreme crisis situation, returned home and later joined the Alchemist Hospitals Limited @ Panchkula district in Haryana as Head of Medical Records Department.

Alchemist Hospitals Limited

The Alchemist stands not just for care, it attained a more humane form with the setting up of the Alchemist Multi-Specialty hospital, offering the best in health care. We are working here with a single-minded focus of making lives better.

I can’t forget the great help & support extended to me by Dr. Vishal Goyal the then AVP of Alchemist Hospitals Limited (AHL) during my initial days at Alchemist. He was indeed a great team player @ Tata Memorial Centre (ACTREC) which we a all have appreciated during my tenure at ACTREC. It will be reprehensible, if I forget the support and care extended to me by Dr. Ashish Banerji, the ex COO of Alchemist Hospitals Limited, during his very short but remarkable tenure @ Alchemist.

He is one of the finest souls I have ever met in my life, the motivation and inspiration he extended not only to me but also to the entire AHL family was unparalleled.

At Alchemist I have received with the GOOD PERFORMANCE AWARD TWICE during November 2010, and again on May 2013 for the contributions of the years 2009-10 and 2012-13 respectively.

Left Alchemist w.e.f. 6th of June 2013 by accepting the job offer from the Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) in Brunei Darussalam
